KELYNACK FARM
Site Design - Burlington, Ontario, 2004
Landscape Architect, Lead Designer
Kelynack Farm and Racing stables is a private 205 acre estate and thoroughbred horse training facility. Key features include a radial paddock layout which facilitates farm efficiency while capitalizing on various view opportunities. The residential garden includes formalized features sympathetic to the existing historic Edwardian home while the overall concept seeks to emphasize the scenic pastoral setting.
Concept and Idea board proposes a design for the grounds adjacent to the 17,000 sf home at Kelynack Farms.  The design includes formal elements to compliment the original Edwardian farm house with softer, more naturalistic features to transition to the existing pastoral landscape.

View to the private residence from the central farm road.  This road is the key axial element around which the paddocks and other stables are organized and it maintains an unobstructed view from the home office to main racing stables.
